Hotel Danieli - true luxury experience in Venice

Our magnificent Hotel Danieli!  Through Rahul's work at Starwood, we got a $700 hotel room for $98.  There are three parts to the hotel, each built in a different century. We got upgraded to the "best" part, which was recently renovated but still felt very traditional and lovely.  The hotel was in an amazing location, just in front of the vaporetto stop San Zaccaria and literally next door to the Doge's Palace. 

We got a wonderful welcome - champagne and strawberries and a personalized note welcoming us.

We had our own private balcony.

The view from the rooftop restaurant was lovely.
