Day 8 - Bundestag Building, Brandenburg Gate, Bundestag, Bavarian lunch & beer and to the top of the Reichstag dome!

The next morning was cold but sunny. We walked straight to the Bundestag, hoping to be able to get tickets to go up to the Dome. We bought a bunch of pastries for breakfast. Rahul's favorite was the Osterkranz (Easter wreath) with almonds, raisins and icing on a soft sweet bread.

We bought a pretzel on the way to the Brandenbuger Tor. The pretzel was a total disappointment. Cold and unfun.

We went to the Gendarmenmarkt area, which had a museum of German history (summary - lots of bad stuff happened). And we stopped at this restaurant Augustiner Brau am Gendarmenmarkt which was good.

We got perfect tickets for the Bundestag building.  Just at sunset, so we got to see everything during daylight, at sunset, and at night (they make you come at a very precise time but let you stay as long as you want).
