Morning drinks! Cappuccino for Rahul and hot chocolate for Tani.
Doge's Palace. No lines at all!
So much artwork and architectural details everywhere! Also exhibits and history of the palace itself.
The palace has a dungeon/prison in the basement. So you had the government above and the prison below. If you think about it, that's kind of weird, it's like having a prison right underneath the Capitol Building in the U.S.
View from the Bridge of Sighs.
Bistrot de Venise, which we just stumbled upon... it looked good so we went. The food was really special and different - their idea is to resurrect ancient Venetian recipes and apply to today's foods. We got eel wrapped in bay leaves and duck. We also got vegetables so that Tani could be healthy. Everything was amazing - well the vegetables were ok. Even though it looks kind of simple, there was a huge amount of flavor in a way that was different but not strange.
