Mother nature's stairmaster - Grouse Grind

Today was another big day, 10 miles (22000+ steps), but lot of hardcore hiking. Started the day heading towards Lynn Canyon, taking ride on Seabus & then bus ride to beautiful North-Van (or as you non-Canadians may know it, North Vancouver). If you want to save the money on Capilano bridge, this is the place to go. There's a wonderful suspension bridge, with waterfall underneath and some breathtaking views. We did some nice hiking around it and headed to Grouse Mountain. To hike to the peak, it's almost 3 kms of seriously steep hiking. It's just damn stairs and rocks and more stairs. It's strenuous, it's treacherous and it's painful. But, you can do it if you got 3 things - enough water, right shoes and positive attititude (that is as per the guy at the information booth). We definitely had the first 2, bit kinda lacking on 3rd after yesterday's strenuous, treacherous and painful day. But thankfully have a Starbucks at the base and we got caffeinated enough to kick start the joke with lotta positive attitude. And anything can be accomplished with enough caffeine, water breaks, frequent resting and joyful singing of Idina Menzel's "let it go".and it was totally worth it, it's just awesome at the top. And to top it, you can see grizzly bears, real up close. And to top it further, the sky-ride on tram/gondola/skylight down to the base is just AMAZING!

Then bus ride back to the hotel and now prepping to go to bed. So, Good Night!
